We were referred to Jess from a good friend, and the referral did not disappoint. Jess did a family photo shoot with our rambunctious 15 month old and magically caught some special moments without all of our eyes closed!

She was fun to work with, she had ideas for photos, but also was happy to go with the flow of the day. We ended up with such a big variety of photos to choose from. She was such a pleasure to work with and was so friendly and engaging with our kiddo. Thanks for helping us capture some special family memories, we would definitely recommend working with Jess.

My photoshoot with Jess was a 10/10. She was professional and personal. Normally I don't feel 100% comfortable in front of the camera, and Jess created a comfortable space for me to explore being photographed. Jessica Fairweather is 24 years young and is embarking on a photography business on Haida Gwaii. Not only does she capture landscapes and people beautifully, but a female in the photography field offers the addition of a safe space for those who may shy away from the camera for a variety of reasons.

My wish to be captured in the woods, along my favourite trail, charted by generations of strong women, where a sense of urgency subsides and a general feeling of wholeness and safety ensues, meant more to me than I imagined. I treasure the photos and the experience equally.
